$258 Million Powerball Winner of April 2010

Chris Shaw, a convenience store clerk from Marshall, Missouri, has just become the most recent Powerball winner, claiming the full lottery jackpot of $258 million. Shaw bought his $5 lottery ticket at the convenience store he worked with under $30 in his bank account. He certainly didn’t believe he’d become the highest winning jackpot winner ever of any Powerball winner before him.

Everyone wants to know what the latest Powerball winner is planning on doing with his newfound wealth. He’s planning on buying a truck, taking his kids to Disney World, and getting his teeth fixed (he is missing his front two teeth). I personally can’t think of someone more deserving of being such a large lottery winner.

Shaw is a good, average American guy. Works from pay check to pay check, paying bills with basically no money saved up at all. But he supports his kids (he has a couple from 3 different woman, 2 with his current girl friend), and actually works. If he was a no account bum who simply lived off of welfare, I probably won’t have such joy that he won. Another thing that’s probably going to happen is that Shaw is probably going to marry his girl friend!
