As you all know, roulette strategy is hard to come by since the game is more about chance and less about skill. However, there are a few tried and true roulette tips, and I’ve summarized my top six favorite for you. But please do not use these online roulette tips as a bible (as some sites I’ve read have suggested their readers do). I have personally used these roulette tips and found them to be helpful. But other than that, I won’t make any outrageous claims about your statistics rising due to any of this.

Dad’s Top Six Roulette Tips

Tip #1: You are more likely to win more money with fewer spins [meaning, don’t bet on a straight bet (1 number) when you can bet on 4 to 18]. The lower the odds are (in the “outside” betting area), the higher a chance you’ll have to win.

Tip #2: Do NOT play the 5-number bet!!! You are giving the house an ABSURD advantage of 7.9%, raising their advantage 2.6% for no reason!

Tip #3: Play European Roulette (which has only single zeros) over American Roulette. The house advantage is 2.7% versus 5.3%.

Tip #4: Find online roulette games that allow the surrender rule and “en prison” rule. Your odds are much better with these rules.

Tip #5: If you find that you’re in a losing streak, a nice roulette tip many people ignore is lowering your chips denomination. And if you’re having a winning streak, make them higher.

Tip #6: This is an online roulette tip as well as a land-based roulette tip: don’t bother following the wheel and any previous outcomes it had. It will just drive you crazy. There is absolutely NO correlation to statistical winnings doing this “roulette strategy.”
